Scarfes Bar by Worldsbestbars:

The old Chancery Court Hotel has been lavishly made over as the Rosewood, a deeply handsome space in the heart of Holborn which reflects the history of the building while exuding something altogether more stylish and contemporary. The ground floor hotel bar, located in the hotel's right wing, is as plush as you'd expect. Furnished with oversized bar stools, cool couches and gently glowing lamps, it's got a kind of library vibe, albeit a library with occasional live music. There's a rather magnificent fireplace surrounded by comfy red leather armchairs, a lot of deep dark wood and pillars of polished marble. The back bar stocks an extensive selection of gin and whisky and there's an inventive cocktail menu with a seasonally changing array of drinks. In a surprisingly on-trend move they even serve craft beer on tap including the awesomely named Beavertown Smog Rocket. Contemporary bar snacks are available if you're hungry and there are a few curries on the menu if you fancy something more substantial. Prices are on par with hotel bar environs and the central location (i.e. pricey but not brain-meltingly so) and that fireplace looks like the perfect place to recline by on a wintery London night, with a glass of whisky in one's hand.
